Ms. Stacey Patton
Welcome to first grade! I am so excited that your child is in my class. We are going to have a terrific school year and I can’t wait to get started! Allow me to take a moment to tell you about myself.
I was born and raised in Zeigler. I am a 1987 graduate of Zeigler-Royalton High School and received my Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University in 1992. After graduating from SIU, I began substitute teaching and was then hired in Thompsonville. However, when I had the chance to come home to teach at ZR I was thrilled. I am now a third generation teacher in the ZR District. My grandmother (Evelyn Patton Fuller), father (Allan Patton), and uncle (Jay Williams) blazed the trail before me and I hope to continue to carry on the torch proudly.

I love teaching first grade at ZR and look forward to getting to know your child and you throughout the school year. The involvement of you and your family in your student’s education is vital. A team effort among parents, student, and teacher will ensure a quality learning experience. My expectations for your child are very high and I look forward to watching the class grow and learn this year. With your participation in and out of the classroom we can achieve a successful year for everyone.
